Our zirconium based crosslinkers improve the bonding power and strength of dried coatings. They are mainly used in combination with CMC, oxidised starch, proteins, SBR latexes and acrylic binders.
Allicross AZC mainly reacts with the free carboxylic groups of the binder system. During the drying process, covalent bonds are formed. Besides the main reaction with carboxylic groups, Allicross AZC reacts with hydroxyl groups. The bond strength between Allicross AZC and hydroxyl groups is less strong compared with the covalent bond formed with the carboxylic groups.
